One more thing. I try to keep my oil level at or just above the upper line in the window. While, putting too much oil in your engine in not good, I figure a little bit more than what is called for can't hurt. It might even bathe the crankshaft a little more. Also, I just get down on my hands and knees every morning before I ride and check the level cold. My reasoning is that the oil had all night to drip back down into the crankcase from last nights ride home and should register in the window at it's most accurate level in the morning. If I warm the engine up first, then I have to wait for the oil to come down again anyways. Everyone ride safe
